As a native Houstonian, Alexandra first-handedly witnessed the city’s growth and development while growing-up, sparking an interest in the built environment. She specifically began to become aware of the impact that transportation and land-use have on Houston’s ability to remain resilient in the face of an increasingly-changing climate.

Alexandra attended Texas A&M University, where she earned a B.S. in Urban and Regional Planning. During her coursework, she gained and refined her skills in mapping, design, and analysis. A semester abroad in Bonn, Germany opened her eyes to how thoughtful planning and design can create an efficient transportation network and a strong urban fabric. She brought this insight with her when she joined TEI as an intern.

As an Associate with TEI, Alexandra collaborates with both the firm’s engineering and planning teams; she is often found assisting with the design of high-comfort, protected bikeways or employing her skills for creating intuitive maps in GIS.

In her free time, Alexandra can be found enjoying the outdoors, often choosing from one of Houston’s many urban green spaces or heading to Galveston for a trip to the beach.
