About This Project
Dustin Qualls, PE, PTOE, RAS

An innate love of mathematics and how they apply to the built environment led Dustin to pursue engineering. He earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University.
As a principal with TEI, Dustin’s 16 years of traffic engineering experience includes signing and pavement marking design, intersection and sidewalk design, congestion management, HOV/HOT lanes, signal design and timing optimization, Intelligent Transportation System design, and various traffic studies. Dustin is a recognized expert in traffic operations at schools and higher-ed campuses, and he has been invited to make presentations at international symposia. He is licensed by the state of Texas as a Registered Accessibility Specialist (RAS). Dustin also has extensive experience utilizing GPS for sign inventory and data collection.
Dustin is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, and a past-president of the Houston chapter of the Texas District of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (TexITE). In 2012, TexITE honored Dustin as their Younger Member of the Year.
When not in the office, Dustin can more than likely be found on various youth sport fields, teaching and coaching both his own children and their teammates. Dustin feels that the intricacies of coaching youth baseball, football, swimming — and being a cheer-dad as well — carry over well toward providing excellent client service.
Dustin loves that working with TEI allows him to encounter new and challenging projects daily. And as an avid golfer, he enjoys teeing it up whenever he gets a chance. His invitation to you: “let’s work together, both on and off the course!”
