Born and raised in Memphis, Lauren is an Associate with five years of engineering experience in both the public and private sector. Her work for TEI includes design of traffic signals and intersection improvements, corridor planning studies, and a variety of traffic operations analyses.
In Tennessee, Lauren most enjoyed managing the Sidewalk Program for Metro Nashville Public Works, which included managing multiple concurrent projects from selection to construction, hosting public meetings, coordinating across departments, and ensuring ADA compliance, all while keeping the budget within yearly fiscal constraints. She also enjoyed the private sector, completing traffic studies and signal design as a local transportation consultant in Nashville.
Lauren graduated from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, earning both her Bachelors and Masters of Science in Civil Engineering, with a concentration in Public Works.
Lauren is active in WTS, CHIME, and ITE. In 2018, ASCE selected Lauren to present to the Construction Research Congress. In her spare time Lauren is an active Yogi, and enjoys exploring local parks with her dog, Titan.
