About This Project

Susan Alleman

As a Principal Associate with TEI, Susan has more than 30 years of transportation planning experience. She has prepared traffic and transportation planning studies for clients throughout Texas. She works closely with many K-12 schools and districts on the development and operation of campus sites, and also leads major planning studies focused on improving regional mobility.

Susan earned her BA in Government from the University of Texas at Austin, as well as her MS in Community and Regional Planning. She serves on the City of Houston Planning Commission and is an active member of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW).

Susan walks for exercise and for pleasure. She loves to travel and take walking tours of cities. She has even learned a lot about her own city by taking walking tours of Houston! She enjoys hearing the history of a city and its development, and comparing it to Houston’s development. On a recent trip to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, Susan was impressed by the many bicycle/pedestrians bridges over freeways and thoroughfares and was struck by the beauty of many bridge designs. Personally and professionally, Susan is all about improving the pedestrian environment in the Houston region.
